That song comes to mind when I think back on all of the sweets we indulged in.

Too many... 

There was chocolate cheesecake too, but the camera never even got to see it...

and of course we found the local cupcake shop

We were good though, and split ONE strawberry cupcake three ways.

(had to make up for eating the whole slice of cheesecake, pralines, cookies, beignets, chips and dip...)

Guess I should start singing a new tune.

maybe something along the lines of ...

"Come on, shake your body baby, do the conga"

Also, today is my brother's birthday so just wanted to send some sweetness his way too.

I think I'm still recovering from my trip.

and no...

it's not what you think.

Bourbon Street did not get the best of me.

But there were definitely good times in New Orleans.

Wandering around the French Quarter...

my eyes were drawn to the fabulous architecture and details each building possessed.

Hanging baskets filled with bright flowers and ferns dotted balconies along each street.

Yummy colored shutters adorned windows and doors.

Although the humidity was pretty rough...

and skies threatened to rain on our parade...

We still kept on smiling

(well most of us anyway... apparently I don't smile very well for the camera...)

Ohhhh it would be so nice to have some space to spread out all of my stuff!

I've been itchin' to expand just a little bit.

I've been tackling my little office nook, trying to find a happy place between storage of necessary office/business/photography stuff and still not look too cluttered and out of place next to the living room.
