less traveled

texas back roads always have hidden treasures just waiting to be discovered.

lazy creeks.

dusty roads.

historic landmarks.

(if you click on the collage  you can read the historic marker more clearly)

Have you ever stumbled across a unique find while taking a different route?

I'd love to hear a fun or exciting tale to start off the week.

Maybe today you can take a road you normally don't follow.

Who knows what you'll find...

I am so directionally impaired that I get lost walking out of my front door, so I try to stay on roads that I know where I will end up.
So, yes, I have ended up on unknown roads, but was anxiety ridden. Ha Ha, Maybe I just need to change my outlook?

I left you a little bit of Blog Love on my blog today. :)

Have a wonderful Monday!

Love the mosaic, the angles and lighting are wonderful.

These are great shots - I tend to keep to the roads I know unless I'm with someone.

Well, you've certainly got me thinking here ... I get lost all the time. When I'm not in a hurry, I really love exploring the area. THANKFULLY I now have a GPS. I used to have to call and check in with my husband regularly so he could stop worrying about me. He's always surprised, and holds a big celebration for me when I find my way without spending all day :)

I live in Tyler and love to do this myself. You never know what you'll find at the end of a long dirt road. Winding along, dust kicked up behind you, obscuring where you've been. Happening upon old barns and livestock critters. A good day with my camera.
