New Year, New Glass of Vino

Cuddled up by the computer, just trying to keep some warmth around me.  You have to love the charms of our Cupcake Cottage... although the insulation leaves little to be desired.  Of course our PC is located next to a window.  A window that is single-paned and has 3 inch gaps at the top.  And of course my dog... he just came inside and now wants right back out... in the 30 degree weather.  So I get to leave my warm blanket and let him back out.  Goodbye what little heat I'd trapped in my cozy nook.

So a New Year.  A new 30th year for me.  AND I'm drinking a new glass of wine.  Well, actually the wine is a souvenir left over from a trip to Oregon in 2008...  it is a good wine.

My fingers, even with gloves, are having a difficult time typing in the cold.  I'm glad it is cold though.  It should be cold this time of year.  It is funny, I noticed today that the birds still like to play in the cold.  Just like my crazy dog.  Of course, when I let him outside to play, the birds flew away to play somewhere else.

I'm slow at making resolutions this year.  I'm slow at everything so far this year.  They say as you get older you get slower...  well I'm slower.  I'll get around to those resolutions though.  And post them.  So you all can witness if I stick with them or not.  :)

Until then, I'm going back to this nice glass of vino.

"Once upon a time there was a piece of wood. It was not an expensive piece of wood. Far from it. Just a common block of firewood, one of those thick, solid logs that are put on the fire in winter to make cold rooms cozy and warm. "
