Lets venture on over to the south side of town.
This is not my typical style... a little contemporary, but this house definitely has style.
I think what really seals the deal for me is this extra "artist's getaway."

Ohhhh it would be so nice to have some space to spread out all of my stuff!
I've been itchin' to expand just a little bit.
I've been tackling my little office nook, trying to find a happy place between storage of necessary office/business/photography stuff and still not look too cluttered and out of place next to the living room.
How do you blend your office area with your home?
Do you have your own space?
Or
Do you hide it away in baskets, bins, lockers or behind closed doors?
Or
Are you working on it like me...

I think the first place is so sweet. It looks a bit like a Craftman house (my dream...)
Mostly working on it, but oh man I want that free standing artist loft. It's got it all :-)
I love old homes, but I don't mind when they are remodeled and some of the built-ins and hardwood floors are retained.
We just moved and I'm in the same boat you are...trying to make an extra bedroom into a spare/scrapbook/office room. Right now it's covered all in boxes. :)
Love this house AND the artist's getaway. We call that the bed in this house.

Love, love, love your house tours from Austin's real estate market. (And I agree - this is also a bit too contemporary for me, personally, but it's lovely.)
Our house is still for sale (super sloooooooow market here), so our dreams of maybe moving have been put on hold for now. Which means I still have a separate little office space - but I'm a big bins, baskets and organizing freak nonetheless! ;)
