Snail Mail Love

Ahhh the handwritten note.

Sounds so old fashioned doesn't it?

I'll let you in on a little secret of mine.

I still get giddy with anticipation when I check the mail.

I can spend hours hunting for the perfect stationary set.

The word, letterpress, sets my heart fluttering.

I'll let you in on another little secret.

I practice my handwriting before I write a note....

just to make sure it looks worthy enough to adorn my stationary.

Enjoy my snail mail goodness.

You may just be inspired to write me a thank you.

(just make sure your handwriting is pretty)

From top:  So Much To Tell Postcard (Ragamuffin Press), Tricycle Notecard Set (Petite Marionette),

Have a lovely Wednesday!

"And none will hear the postman's knock
Without a quickening of the heart.
For who can bear to feel himself forgotten?"

Great post! I love getting things in the mail too....except for bills! But there's just something so special about a hand-written note that really makes you feel special!
Have a great day!

I love getting hand-written notes in the mail - especially when written on letterpress cards..! And that house in the post below? So glad I'm not the only person who loves to peruse real estate listings. :) I'm headed to the link you posted to see it if I can take a peek inside.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week, Bonnie!

I still love snail-mail and send it regularly to people. Little note cards are my favorite. :)

Bonnie, this posting is so meaningful. Snail mail seems to be becoming extinct, doesn't it? I'm with you in the anticipation of going to the mail box. When I worked outside the home, I loved coming home at night and opening the box and hoping to find a treasure. It was fairly rare to find anything personal; but oh, on those occasions when there was really something there ... as you said, it set the heart fluttering. I used to send a lot of personal cards to my friends but haven't done that in a long time. Your posting inspires me to want to get out my notecards and my pen and my pretty enclosures. As always, I love the quote you have put with this. Thank you.

I LOVE receiving letters in the mail! My heart still soars when I see an envelope with my name on it!
My Mom is living with us for a little while and her aunt has been sending her letters. They are so special! She just writes about her day, and gives us a little look into her life. Treasures!
I may have to borrow you idea and blog about Aunt Ceille's letters. Would you mind?
Have a wonderful day!

Nothing like getting a handwritten letter in the mail! I wrote about this not long ago and got out my grandma;s letter to read again. Bliss!

This stationery is all lovely. I love getting nice things in the post. I have kept so many handwritten letters I have receieved but emails just go further and further to the back of my inbox never to be read again.
