I took some time yesterday to pause.
To enjoy the cool front that blew in and made me bring out my slippers and scarf again.
To eat mint chocolate cookie ice cream during the cool front...
(for some reason I always crave ice cream on cold days)
I found some inspiration in rocks and the concept of just taking it slow.
I bought some flowers for the house.
I always try to have fresh flowers around the house for little doses of happiness throughout the day.
These were just the leftovers that had fallen from the bunch.
They were too pretty to just toss without capturing their beauty first.
Miss Kitty was looking so sweet among the flowers.
But...
she did get tired of me taking her picture and demanded I make her dinner.
It was nice to take life a little slower.
I feel ready to tackle my long 'to do' list now.
How do you make time for yourself to take a little pause?
Have a lovely day!
"Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy."

Mint chocolate chip is one of my favorites!
Your last quote is one I love.
I love fresh flowers, too! These are gorgeous photos, you are really talented! Our kitties will only tolerate so much photography before they demand to be (a) petted or (b) fed! LOL! Love your blog, I'm a new follower!
I love days like that. Pausing and doing things I love like going for a leisure bike ride and eating good food.
I love your words, little doses of happiness throughout the day... Pretty photos, Bonnie!
Do enjoy and take a little pause tomorrow again, looking forward to the pictures.;)
Sending a big hug your way! xo
Bonnie, I once saw a book when I was browsing a local bookstore, entitled "The Romantic Home". I think it was written just for you! These pictures are amazing. I love them so much. Truly. I love each in its own way. But the closeup of Miss Kitty is the standout for today. I'm glad you allowed yourself to pause and take time to "just be happy." I used to take little day trips in my car, visiting antique stores and loving being all alone. Turned up the radio in the car and sang along. Happy. Haven't done that in quite a while. Maybe it's time.
I love to sit outside in the backyard on my chaise lounge and soak in my lake view. I find I can sit out there and totally loose track of time!
Thank you for sharing those lovely images with us. Kitty and roses in shape of a heart are especially cool!
