Take Me Away

Our first day we arrived in San Francisco at 8 AM. With a little snag at the rental car check-out we started our drive to Albion around 9. We decided to take a small detour in Sausalito to view San Francisco from across the bay. It was a beautiful morning and the fog was just starting to lift as we sipped some local coffee.







As we made our way north we stopped in Santa Rosa for lunch at a Brewery we both swore we'd eaten at before but couldn't remember when. I didn't take any pictures there, though, because we were starving at this point. One more stop at another brewery, Anderson Valley Brewery, and it was time to taste some wine. Our first stop was Lazy Creek Vineyards. I love their name. It just invites you to put your feet up and enjoy life a little slower. We liked their wine too, because after our first stop we came away with two bottles.









We have a tradition we started about four or five years ago that whenever we are in Albion / Little River, we have to stop by the local grocery to pick up dinner for the night. They have the best little sandwiches! We started this tradition because one year that was the only place we could get food because nothing else was open in February. Our first night, wrapped in a sweater because it was around 50 degrees, I got to enjoy the sunset on the patio with a lovely glass of wine, croissant sandwich, and chips.
