Spring Fever

Sending pretty flowers your way!

"It's spring fever.  That is what the name of it is.  And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!"

A Different View

Walking by some of the cottages in the adjoining neighborhood, I couldn't help but notice some lovely views.

Soft, muted tones.

Sunsets.

The warm breeze against my face.

A hike through the woods.

Ocean waves crashing against the shoreline.

Windows.

Only the windows are in the actual neighborhood we took a stroll through yesterday.

All the other images are from distant memories of vacations long since past.

Here is my final photo from my first week over at the 365 Project:

Daydreamer 9/365

Since Miss Kitty spends most of her time sleeping, I thought it was only fitting I capture her doing what she does best. I wanted the shot to have a dream-like, peaceful quality to it.

Whatever your view this Monday, I  hope you find a happy memory attached to it.

Sweet Shots Weekly Review

At the end of each week I'll be posting my shots from the 365 Project.

Any feedback is always welcome.

After The Rain 4/365

"Rain showers my spirit and waters my soul." ~ Emily Logan Decens

I awoke this morning to the sound of rain tapping against my window. Tap... tap... tap... such a mesmerizing sound.

Once the sun came out to play and my camera batteries were fully charged, I looked for inspiration around my front yard. Still in my pj's and bare feet of course...

I couldn't decide on just one photo to share so I decided to make a collage.

  Playing With Sunshine 5/365

I'm always trying to take photos of my dog. He doesn't really seem to care which is great, but getting him to sit still for long is always a challenge. I keep trying new angles and the sun was shining and I got lucky... He heard something, the ears perked up, and right as he was about to bolt, I snapped the shot.

(oh did I forget to mention I'm sprawled out on the ground and got tackled as he went to investigate whatever squirrel or cat crossed his path.....)

I've been playing with Picnik for that past few days... I've maybe had it a week. Been having fun with it though. I just wanted to see how different exposures and color saturations played on contrasts and mood.

New Growth 6/365

Sorry guys, don't have much time today. Decided to take a shot of my cat grass that just sprouted up a few days ago. Looks like I'll have to mow the grass soon.... I'm glad to know I can grow grass. :) Pretty much everything else I try to grow sadly doesn't make it. So now I have proof that there is a happy plant in my house!

Look Within 7/365

Just a tiny drop of wine left.
I was searching around trying to think of something to photograph and just started goofing around.
Disclaimer: There was no drinking involved while taking this shot. (The bottle was emptied last night!)

Life Is Ruff 8/365

I didn't set this shot up. My pup is just that pitiful...

I haven't taken the photo for today yet, but I will post it once the inspiration hits.  :)

Happy Weekend!!!

BLT

I've been making a simple sandwich that is oh so divine.

The star ingredient is Boursin cheese.

Bet you thought you were going to see a sandwich?

Sorry, I ate it.

It was so good.

These are the ingredients if you want to make a sandwich of  your own.

(sorry they aren't so pretty, they're the leftovers after my sandwich)

I won't hold it against you if you use lots of cheese.

I fancy the garlic and fine herb version but there are other varieties out there.

I call it:  Bonnie's BLT (Boursin, Lettuce, and Tomato).

That really is all I put on the sandwich after I toast the bread.

Mmmmmmmmmm!

There is TONS of talent.

I'd like to share with you some of the ladies that really know how to inspire.

Just be warned, you may want to buy everything you see.

Isn't this bowl precious?!

I think  my succulents would be extra willing to stay alive if I just showed them some vintage love.

I already have one of these pillows, but you can never really have too many blooms scattered in your house!

The necklace speaks for itself.  Simply. Lovely.

Enfield Rd

While nibbling on some Honey Nut O's I was perusing through the local Real Estate listings

(sometimes this can become a daily ritual for me when the market is hot)

and found this charmer:

I love the arched doorway, dormer windows and all the yummy stone.
Check out the punch of turquoise in this room!
Good sized dining room with access to both outside entertaining as well as the kitchen.
Lovely little extra space for whatever tickles your fancy.
Does it look like this space could have once been used as the original dining room?

I adore butcher block counters!
That light fixture is totally me and all the muted colors and light are so tranquil.
Plenty of storage without feeling too boxy.
Fine bedroom with sisal flooring... not sure I like the painted doors.
Second bedroom has such whimsy.  I'm not sure if I would have carried the wallpaper onto the ceiling, but it would be a fun little girl's room.  LOVE the angled ceiling.  The more cozy the better!
Sucker for vintage tile and arch over the tub.
I'm not crazy about the master bath, but it can be changed and the layout is workable.
(Tons more space than I have now!)
This is on my wish list for when we do buy a house.
Isn't it dreamy!
All the happy trees.  It really is a good sized backyard for central Austin.
If you feel like moving to Austin anytime soon, if you buy this one, can I please come over?!

It's only $649,000.  *cough*

Don't tell my husband I was looking in this price range...

Happy Tuesday everyone!
